Leeds Angels

We host quarterly dinners in Leeds where startups pitch their ideas directly to our curated group of angel investors.

Each dinner typically features 3 carefully selected companies for a 3-minute pitch each, followed by a 10-minute Q&A moderated by our Principal, Hazel Savage or Chairperson, Mark Roberts.

For start-ups, pitching is completely free. We believe founders should focus on growth, and not pay fees. Additionally, Leeds Angels does not take a percentage of the funds raised, ensuring founders receive full value from every investment.

All our angels invest across different verticals, but typically we favour technology startups.

We’ve considered and invested in businesses across various stages from pre-MVP concepts, to revenue-generating companies. Generally, we have a preference for startups with at least a MVP, but we assess each opportunity on its individual merits and market potential.

No, we like to look at the best companies globally.

Of course if you are from Leeds, great. But we are called Leeds Angels because we are from Leeds. We look at pitches from anywhere. UK is preferred, but as an international company if you can/want to pitch to us in person, we will take a look.

Our individual angel investments typically range from £10,000 to £100,000. Deals often involve multiple angels, meaning startups can expect total investments anywhere from £10,000 up to around £500,000.

We speak to companies of all stages - pre-revenue and pre-seed, all the way to Series A - all year round on a rolling basis. If it’s too early or late-stage for our group, we can let you know.
